4699 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wet.18/MA. 4th January, 1934. The Morgan Crucible Co.Ltd., Battersea Works, Church Road, London, S.W.11. Dear Sirs, We beg to refer you to the visit of your Mr.H.T.Sparkes to my works at the beginning of this week when he very kindly offered to test out one of our chassis dynamos in your Laboratory in order to measure the contact drop in the brushes. We understand this will help you in deciding the correct grade of brush to recommend for this machine. I very much regret that I shall not be able to visit your Works myself but I am sending down on Tuesday morning next 8th instant my assistant Mr.C.A.Pignatt with the dynamo in question in order that you can carry out tests in your Laboratory during the day so that he can return the same evening. Mr.Pignatt will travel on the train arriving at St.Pancras at 11 o'clock and as he will be bringing the dynamo with him we should appreciate it very much if some one could arrange to meet him at St.Pancras so that he could be driven direct to your Works. We should value a line from you confirming these arrangements or suggesting an alternative. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
