Remarks. 1900 100 Slow running, 285 r.p.m. 1800 100 (this is with Remy 1700 99 ignition). 1600 97 .520 Consumption 9/10 1500 92 .514 throttle 1500 r.p.m. 1400 88 .514 .57 lbs. per HP. hour. 1300 83 .522 1200 78 1100 69 1000 62 The "Hawk" engines om the Airship have 25 ft. head of the petrol, the tanks are up in the envelope. We have reduced the hole in the seeting to work with this high pressure and so that it will not flood at 12 or 14 lbs pressure. The air inlet is made so as to admit air at each side, this we found was necessary. We made a test on the "Hawk" with a longer ramming length and got the following results:- | ||
