SS.{S. Smith} EXHAUST SYSTEM. X7230

We send herewith N. scheme 2807., shewing the plain parallel sliding joint on the front expansion box, and also on the silencer, as an alternative to those shewn on N. schemes 2805 & 2806.

Though yesterday we suggested your going on with N. scheme 2805. we think it is probable that R.{Sir Henry Royce} will wish to try the plain joint first, so that we suggest now that you should proceed with N. scheme 2807. with the modification to N. sch.2806. shewn in the bottom R.H. corner, and not proceed with N. scheme 2805. until you hear further.
