1209. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to EJJ. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R.6.11.36. No.4 TEST HOUSE MODIFICATIONS. Referring to Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}1/GB.4.11.36., whilst we are in agreement with the small universal unit being transferred, we do not agree to working in a test house, part of which is a store. Before, therefore, the universal unit is disturbed, we should be glad if EJJ. would make provision for storing the tackle at present contained therein. At the present moment there is quite a considerable space by the air bell at the back of No.4 Test House, and we recommend that storage accommodation is provided there, and are willing to appoint a labourer who will be in charge of the contents, and keep them under lock and key.
