London W.3.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Davy.

We have decided to fit the new type tank unit without a sump. This means that with the latest unit with which you supplied us last week, we shall be slightly out with our present dashboard mask, say half a gallon, but not badly out because this unit enables us to read quite close to the tank bottom.

Attached is a blueprint of our latest tank shewing the position of the unit. To get the unit you sent us into the correct position, just clearing the tank bottom, we had to insert a 3/8" packing under the top face as per sketch.

We are sending you under separate cover an old one we have had, and require two new ones with the submerged length reduced by 3/8" as explained above. In addition we should like you to consider the alteration of the masks to allow for this small modification. The two new tank units are very urgently required, if possible within a week. We will forward our official order if you will let us have your estimate.

Yours faithfully,

W a Oldham
