Dear Sirs, We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 9th of July. We note that you propose to pay us a visit the latter end of this week, or the early part of next. We regret that Mr Elliott will not be available to see you, but as this matter appears to be entirely in connection with our Experimental Department we have notified them of your proposed visit, and asked them to let you know which day would be most suitable for them.
