F.O.Hickling, Esq.,
Messrs. Ransome & Marles Bearing Co. Ltd.,
Newark,
NOTTS.

Dear Hickling,

You may remember some time ago I asked you whether you could start some tests to determine the rate of loss of preload of bearings using different lubricants. Whereas this test was originally one connected with motor-cars, similar information is now required by our Aero Department. I am wondering, therefore, how the tests are going or whether you have had to stop them since the War began.

Do look me up if you are over here because I am still at the Factory.

Yours sincerely,
