BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to BJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M17.5.28. X7340 X3806 X8340 CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION. Herewith we send N. sch. 2603. - modification to the lubrication of the universal joint and torque sphere in order to dispense with the working coil etc. The modification calls for a slight alteration in the machining of the sphere, namely, an increase in the external radius between the sphere and the stem As far as we can see there is still plenty of clearance for the movement of the sphere. If there is any difficulty, for instance already machined parts being in existence, perhaps you will let us know. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
