MODIFICATION TECHNICAL BULLETIN AERODROME, Hucknall. REF: AERO/G/JSR DATE: 28.1.37 SUBJECT. "Kestrel" V.XII Aero Engines. Exhaust Manifolds. OBJECT. To provide means to allow for expansion and contraction. MODIFICATION. To fit slotted type securing flanges to the inlet and outlet ends of the exhaust manifolds and fit special shouldered studs to suit. REPLACEMENT EFFECTED. Immediately on all production engines and on repair engines when manifolds are renewed. AFFECTING. Kestrel V.XII engines from No. K.V.XII. 101 onwards. All earlier engines modified as opportunity arises. INTERCHANGEABILITY. Manifolds as modified are interchangeable with the earlier type, providing the special studs are also fitted. DRAWING NOS.
