Mr Hives, from Dodd.

The performance of 18. G.W at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence still continues to give satisfaction. We are running with the engine dampers tightened, at R's suggestion, to improve radiator movement. This makes the engine slightly rougher, but not very noticeable.
The gear-box has not given any trouble, the noise in neutral and on the third gear does not seem to have altered in any respect.
Brakes are very efficient. no squeaks, etc, etc, and giving complete satisfaction.
There is rather an excessive amount of contracting noise from the exhaust silencers & pipes.
A second Lucas-Grave head lamp bulb has failed. these bulbs do not seem to be a sound proposition as yet.
Body work, wings, etc, are keeping remarkably free from rattles, and other noise.
Yours faithfully,
F.{Mr Friese} Dodd.
