EFC. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL E3/M10.6.29. X4473. 20HP. CHASSIS - H.T. MAGNETO WIRE. Re. your suggestion to run this wire through the wiring tube in company with the leads to the plugs, is there no danger of mutual induction with the magneto ignition in operation firing the wrong cylinder, such as we have experienced in the past with battery ignition. Normally as we know, the wire is earthed, and not likely to cause trouble. An alternative route for this wire, freer from oil deposit, would be around the front end of the engine, and along the valve gear side of the crankcase. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
