To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X5840 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW.28:11:34. 21-G-IV. Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}4/E.27.11:34. The present standard 20/25 steering ratio is 12 1/2 to 1. 21-G-IV is just over 14 to 1. We know that from Hancock's remarks he is comparing the 20/25 with the Cadillac, which is 23 to 1 overall ratio. In effect, he would rather have a slightly lower ratio than the steering we have given him, his object being to get still further immunity from road shocks.
