Washing Front Wheels.

Freedom of rotation of the front wheels when jacked up for washing purposes, can be ensured in the following manner:—

After raising the car on the front jacks until the wheels are clear of the ground, insert a block of wood 11 in. long and about 4 in. by 3 in. in section under the bottom end of the yoke, as shown at C in the accompanying illustration.

The jacks should next be released slightly so that part of the weight of the car is taken on the block of wood, and the wheel will then be free to rotate.
