Further to our discussion of this morning, Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HDY{William Hardy} has suggested that instead of using a beard on the spring mounted pad the cross bolt could be made sufficiently eccentric in position to prevent this pad being put in more than one way round.
