Messrs. Shell-Mex Ltd.,
Shell Corner,
Kingsway,
LONDON. W.C.2.

Dear Sirs,

You have kindly sent us a 50 gallon drum of "Racing Shell" petrol. This was arranged through our London office with your Mr. Callingham.

We should be glad if you could let us know the anti-knock value of this fuel compared with Shell Aviation and Benzol. Do you, for instance, consider it has a better anti-knock value than standard Air Ministry fuel 80/20 mixture.

If you could let us have any Ricardo's figures for the H.U.C.R. value we should be very grateful.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
