Dear Sirs, Re Phantom III Long Wheelbase - 38-EX. We have now had an opportunity of considering criticisms of our specification of the above car given in E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}10/MN.14/2.36, and would be glad if you would amend this specification in the following respects:- (1) Steps. As we understand our Sales Dept. are inclined to prefer the rubber matting made by the India Tyre Company, we would be glad if you would fit this material. We ourselves think the result will be rather heavy, and that after a little wear the appearance will become very shabby, as we find that by slight abrasion the fabric becomes loosened on the surface and grows whiskers, which will become bleached white by washing. (2) It is thought that the dummy shutter on the side of the scuttle to match those on the bonnet is unnecessary, and we wish it to be deleted. (3) Blinds. It is suggested that blinds should be fitted to the quarter window and the division, the former to give the owner a little seclusion and the latter to enable the car to be driven at night with the roof lamp in use.
