Motor Car Heat Indicators (Hobbs). ---------------------------------- With reference to the sample instrument which you handed to me yesterday, and their correspondence on this matter including their letter of June 13th. reference FED/EMA, which I return herewith. We have tried this instrument but have not been able to get same to work or show any reading at all, although we have noted the instructions carefully. We rather feel that there is something wrong with the thermostat expansion tube, and we should be glad if you could arrange for one of their representatives to examine, correct or show us how the instrument is supposed to work or arrange for the return of the instrument to the dealers, i.e. Messrs. Mart & Co. (London) Ltd., as arranged on the telephone yesterday. We have put the instrument on one side awaiting further information from you on the above lines. EP.{G.
