BATTERY IGNITION.

The ignition contact points on 10-EX are burning away unduly and showing the characteristic symptoms of the presence of oil. According to information received from you some time back (about Sept. 1926) 10-EX is not one of the chassis which the ignition is fitted with the sliding sleeve scheme for the exclusion of oil vapour. This may not necessarily hold now, as the engine may have been changed. In any case, would you please have this ignition examined and see whether it has the sliding sleeve scheme fitted for the exclusion of oil vapour, and if not, would you please have it so fitted in order that we may get the better running of the points.
