BENTLEY REAR AXLE.

Since the advent of heavier bodies, we have recently been troubled with oil leaks at the joint of the rear axle tubes and end plates, particularly during tests in France. On the bump we have broken some of the 1/4 bolts holding these parts together.

We recommend these bolts are increased to 5/16. and that nuts E.50926 with .448" flats are used. These are already in use somewhere else on Production.

We further suggest that the nuts are locked by tab washers say in batches of three.
