Re: an entirely new Brake Lining.

Dear Sirs,

I am interested in an entirely new process for the manufacture of brake linings for all kinds of motor cars, and I am taking the liberty of sending you a small sample of the material for your inspection, with the hope that after reading the following you will think fit to let me send you another sample, cut to the size you require, so that should you desire to make a bench test of one to destruction you may do so.

We have found it necessary to form a Company for the manufacture of our brake linings, and Clutch rings, the name of which is "BTBE LIMITED". This company is British throughout employing British labour and British capital.

We maintain that the "BTBE" linings are not only more efficient and smoother in their braking powers than those of any other make, but that they last longer, and are much cheaper.

The "BTBE" linings can be made metallic or nonmetallic according to the customer's wishes.

A very severe test was made, to destruction, of these linings by a very well known Omnibus Company, and they are highly satisfied with the results, and are convinced that it conforms with all our assertions. They have now fitted a complete set on to one of their Omnibuses to run on the London Streets, and after this final test we expect big business.

Every user has said without hesitation that he had never had such smooth and efficient braking, and that they out-last all other linings of whatever make.

I trust I have interested you sufficiently to give this matter your consideration, and that we may have the pleasure of hearing from you with a request to send you another sample, cut to the size you require.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times.

Yours faithfully,
(Signed) C.A.RUSSELL STOWER.
