Xell Experimental Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}S/KT. Sept 22nd 1933. The General Manager, The Ford Motor Company Ltd, Dagenham, Essex. Dear Mr. Smith, We are again taking an interest in the cyanide hardening process which was showed to us when we were at the Ford plant. We should be glad to know whether this is a patented process, and if so, who are the patentees. We should also like to purchase a gear from you that has been completely finished, so that we can let our chemist investigate the Rockwell hardness and the nature of the case. We should like to thank you again for the information you gave us when we were at your works. Yours sincerely, | ||
