File Elec +1022 6017 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/HH. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}12/JH.7.3.40. LUCAS IGNITION COIL ON DASHBOARD. RIPPLET. We send herewith 2 prints of PL.144, showing the Lucas ignition coil mounted on the dashboard of Ripplet. We also include two print of PL.132 and PL.133 showing the Standard Lucas Coil and the Lucas Sports Coil. We have so arranged the drilling on the dash board, that either of these coils may be fitted. The vertical position of the coil is that chosen by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} because it gives the best compromise for the length of wiring and at the same time avoids the mounting brackets. Whilst this scheme PL.144 is drawn for the Ripplet it is applicable to all cars having the B.60 engine where it is considered necessary to fit only the single coil. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
