To "HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" from "Pe". X4199 PaS/IL.31.5.20 HSs/LG29.5.20 Thanks for your note. It is difficult for me to describe how we in Paris feel about the accident. Butler was a fellow we all liked and I imagine him to have been one of your most promising men. I believe the car left Paris immediately after lunch at 2 p.m. or soon after, and the accident happened at 4.30 approx. The papers give this time. The distance from Paris is about 113 kms and 15 kms from Amiens on the Paris, Chantilly, Creil, Amiens, road. We had made arrangements for the car to cross over by the following mornings boat 11.55 a.m. There does not appear to be any reason for hurrying to Boulogne. "Pe". Ps | ||
