X 3362 TO EFC. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} R1/M13.10.22. RECEIVED HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 3 10 22 ELECTRIC LIGHT FITTING FOR "ELMSTEADHenry Royce's home in West Wittering". Will you please purchase or make an electric light fitting as near as possible like the sketch - LeC No. 1642 - enclosed. You will notice I have already a patress (wood) which has a face 2¾" square with the two wires coming through the centre. Upon this I want to fasten a plate by 3 or 4 brass screws about ¾" long which carries a stout โ " brass tube screwed at the bottom end for a nut and a lamp holder. Sliding on the โ " tube is the fitting (black finish) held up by the nut on the tube. You will notice that the gallery carries by 3 screws a holophane globe which I have in stock. I have lamps and lampholders also. It is for "ElmsteadHenry Royce's home in West Wittering", and should be charged to my a/c. We have many lamps and fittings from the 12.Volt system which we have replaced with 24. Volt. We are sending most of these to the Works and they will credit us what they can for them. Most of them are good stock for repairs, etc. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
