August, concerning the hard bedding shown up by tests of the split skirt piston EW.2115. It was suggested that your modified taper grinding should if possible be incorporated in the 14 pistons (ordered in our letter dated 22.8.39). We would like to know whether this taper grinding has been included on any pistons supplied by you, or whether the 14 pistons mentioned are still outstanding.
