To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} " EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} " Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} <- " Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} " M.M. " Mr. Skellorn. X4572 Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}1/H23.9.26. CIRCULATION OF TECHNICAL INFORMATION. In future the circulation of all technical information from any Department at the Works is to be carried out by a central Department, and the Repair Dept. are instructed to function as the Department for this purpose. It is therefore necessary for anyone who has such information to circularise to send it to the Repair Dept. with a list of Depots, Officials etc. to whom they wish such information to be imparted. The same practice is also to apply to the preparation of Free of Charge Cards. Recommendations for these cards to be issued will come from the Department who in the past have been making them out, but the work of preparation and obtaining sanction from the Administration must be done by the Repair Department. The object of these instructions is to prevent more than one Department issuing information etc. on the same subject. It will be the duty of the Repair Dept. as the central Department for this purpose, to see that information is not duplicated or conflicting as has been the case sometimes in the past. Moreover, it is realised that as the Repair Dept. are responsible for issuing material and special tools which may be desirable to send along with technical information they are the most suitable Department to make responsible for issuing technical instructions etc. Further, it is desirable that all technical information issued is agreed to by BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} and myself. R.D. must see that this is arranged.
