BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to BJ. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M21.6.28. FRONT AXLE CONTROL - BALL JOINT ON CON. ROD. X7420 X7240 X7030 It will be remembered that Exp. Dept. have asked for an adjustment on the ball end to enable them to obtain the correct pivot lean, and deal with the variations in the parts without playing about with the packing washers of the bottom con. rod bearings. Herewith we send N. scheme 2590. shewing what is proposed. It will be seen that in addition to the adjustment a spring loaded has also been provided. This end will be used on "SS{S. Smith}" control, but we suggest that it should be tested at once on a standard control. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
