HYDRAULIC DAMPERS.

The initial loading gives a soft ride. The maximum loading with the hand control does not spoil the riding at high speeds, and is sufficient to keep the car well under control.
During a tour one meets the inevitable hump on the road surface which looks harmless. Upon going over it at even medium speeds the result is, the rear passengers are lifted off their seats.
The Dampers under these conditions are ineffective, & the buffers have sufficient length to soften out the rebound or bump.

REAR AXLE.

Under certain conditions of road surface, the rear Axle jaggers very badly, and gives a bad impression to those riding in the rear.

SERVICING THE CAR.

We have never had a Car on test which was so inaccessible, and so much time taken up in removing unnecessary parts to carry out adjustments or replacements.

ENGINE.

CARBURETTERS.

To remove Carburettors takes on an average half an hour for each Carburetter. To replace, one hour can easily be taken, and two hours occupied to get the petrol unions connected when the alignment is not exactly correct. The tee junctions are too rigid. Spanners have to be bent and made special to get at the nuts.

IGNITION PLUGS.

The Plugs situated on the inside of the vee, require a special box spanner to get at them. They are most inaccessible.
The high tension wires should not be fastened on with nuts, but should be clipped on. It was intended to use clip on terminals, but the present design is unsatisfactory.

Oil Pipes for Filters, Release Valve.
We have found that the union connections have to be over-tightened to prevent leaks.

LOWER HALF.

To remove the lower half, it is first necessary to remove the side trays. The Exhaust Pipe has to be uncoupled from the front silencer, also the intermediate pipe.
The front Silencer has to be removed & Clutch under pan.
On the Cadillac nothing had to be removed.
