The other complaint is a high speed wattle, both Col. Hawkins and Mr Parsons have evidently had this, and both are scared about it. Col Hawkins says he was very lucky that the car did not over turn and is now not inclined to drive at very high speed. I had the car jacked up and tested for front wheel balance. These were very good and was not the cause.
The front shock absorber were the Luvax the N.S. was almost free. the O.S. standard friction. I've had these dismantled, made the serrations free and reset to 70 lbs. but as your letter arrived stating that the hydraulic damper were to be fitted I have left this in abeyance until I return. I will report further on my return to Chateauroux.
