Brake lever alterations, component wear, and efficiency analysis for B.V. models.

Both the above alterations are running on 8.B.V. now in France and are also fitted to 9.B.V. which give a pedal pressure of 70 to 80 lbs. to lock all four wheels.

For the first 50 chassis we require a rear equalizer giving <s>6.500</s> 1.650 and a modified idler lever giving a step up <s>6.625</s> 5.625.

The bearing of this lever should be lengthened having become very worn after 22,000 miles allowing a lot slide play.

This is probably due to engine movements.

An analysis of the efficiencies of the levers reveals no serious offender in this respect though at very light loading the extra number of levers in the front brakes leaves them at a greater disadvantage than the rear.
