| COPY. LODGE PLUGS LIMITED. A.F. Sidgreaves, Esq., Messrs. Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd., 16, Conduit Street, London, W.1. Ref: BH/EW. 4th May, 1935. Dear Mr. Sidgreaves, Thank you very much for your letter of the 8th ult., and the very nice photograph which you sent me of my 3½ litre Bentley car. I am sorry that I have not been able to reply to your letter before this, but I have been abroad with the car. I only returned yesterday, after a 4,000 mile trip through France, Italy, Yugo Slavia, Austria and Germany. You may be interested to know that the car caused a considerable amount of interest wherever I went. I found the shock absorber control greatly improved the comfort of travelling at speed on the French roads, and I was able to hold a cruising speed of 70 m.p.h. without any discomfort whatever. The new Park Ward body has stood up very much better than the old one, and would now appear to be a satisfactory job. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, (Sgd.) Bernard Hopps. | ||
