(9) The pipe with the altered position of carburettors will be tried on B-50-BU, for for idling and performance. (10) Swdl{Len H. Swindell} will test the low compression Bentley & Giraffe heads with a standard Bentley camshaft and then with the two 20/25 camshafts. (11) Swdl{Len H. Swindell} will order some T.T. Bentley springs in low carbon wire, and if these fail on test, have some shot-blasted and see if there is any improvement. (12) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} will urge the completion of the detailed drawings and manufacture of the light Bentley prop. shaft for the next 10,000 miles car. Where // (13) Dodd will let me have a figure of merit for the silent tyres on the Bentley 17" wheel. Phantom III. (1) Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} should put in hand a pair of deturbulated heads for the Ph.III which will be tested on a car as and when available. He should get the necessary ignition advance characteristics on the test bed before handing them over to Dodd. (2) Dodd will issue a report on the test allowing oil to go on the top of the valve but not down the valve wedges. (3) Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} will get design to produce a scheme for silencing dampers as fitted on 35-EX. (4) Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} will co-operate with Dodd to find out what all the noises are on 33-EX, and what we can do to silence our cars generally on bad roads. (5) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} will drag the design for the flexible flywheel out of the drawing office and get same detailed. More strength needed | ||
