RR 300 (20 Bks.) (SK 354 5-12-22 MP 264049) X7830 108718 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: C.T.B. Order No.: Re: J.B.146. Customer's No.: 3820 Date: 18-1-1926 Re Examination of Tungstone cell. The first big disadvantage of this cell is its great weight, a 12 Volt 75 ampere hours battery is estimated to be 115 lbs dry & with acid it would be in the neighbourhood of 130 lbs which is 20 lbs more than our specification allows. Another disadvantage are the dimensions. The estimated dimensions for a 75 ampere hour battery are 17" long 11" wide & 7 1/2" high. (when arranged in two rows of three) this being much too wide although not so high. The cell lid{A. J. Lidsey} being of die-cast antimonial lead is liable to cause leakage. The approximate weight of for a 50 ampere Signed: (cont'd) This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
