Dear Sirs,

Re Accumulators for Cars.

Confirming our interview yesterday, we will make up another ebonite sample embodying the various points that we discussed.

With regard to the two batteries you have at present, we have discussed this matter with our Works and are of the opinion that the lack of capacity is due to the very high specific gravity of the acid and that the battery should be charged at a little higher rate.

We think that if they are filled up with acid of 1200 to 1220 and charged at about 5 amps and 6 amps respectively for about 20 hours, you will get a different result. The gravity of the acid at the end of the charge should be about 1250 to 1260.

We should be interested to hear about their behaviour after this is done.

Yours faithfully,
THE NEW PETO & RADFORD ACCUMULATOR CO. LTD.
G.R.N. Minchin
