Gentlemen:

Your Mr. J.H. Maddocks met the writer, Mr. Allen, yesterday in New York and after discussing matters in reference to the two Rolls-Royce cars Mr. Allen had purchased from Charles Jarott, we started talking about our starting motor and lighting generator. Mr. Maddocks told us as yet in England, as far as he knew, people were still content to purchase machines without a self-starting and lighting equipment but he realises that in this country it is now impossible almost, to sell a machine without a self-starter and lighter.

The height of perfection has been reached in our outfit which was selected by the Packard Co. as their choice and has been, for some time past, the stock equipment of their automobiles.

No doubt you have seen our equipment on the Packard cars in the Paris show and other places. The writer is most anxious to have your company use our equipment as America's highest grade car, the Packard, use it here. In Germany, the Mercedes, (Daimler Company), use it and have recently equipped the Kaisers cars with our starting and lighting systems.

It is expected, sooner or later, that our instruments will be manufactured in England. Meanwhile, Messrs. Duncan, Watson & Co. 62 Bernes St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, London, W. England, who have the representation of our interests in Great Britain, have been asked by us, to get into communication with you and see if it is not possible for

Contd.
