Re: Batteries. Referring to the note in the Minutes of the Conference of January 7th. page 6, where I had to look into the battery question, the position is as follows:- (1) P.II. R.H. - The new battery will not fit our present standard box. The material for the box has been ordered for the whole of N.2. series and is actually delivered. We have on order, but not delivered approximately 80 batteries of our present type. (2) P.II. L.H. - Is satisfactory, the battery box will take the new battery and therefore everything is in order. (3) 20/25 HP. - There is not sufficient room on the present 20/25 to accommodate our standard battery which we propose to adopt for P.II. From the above it would appear that we will not be able to bring in the new battery before the end of N.2. series, as we would have such a large amount of scrap that it would make the proposal uneconomical, meaning as it would an entirely new battery box, we therefore propose to bring in the new Universal standard battery at the commencement of O.2. series. P.II.L.H. - We do not supply batteries with these chassis for America. For Continental work we could order the new Universal standard. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
