YOUR REF. 7th May, 1935. W.A. ROBOTHAM, ESQ., Experimental Department, Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Robotham, Many thanks for your letter of 3rd May informing us that you agree to our changing over to India Super Tyres. I do not think you will find the India Super Tyre makes any more noise in wet weather than the old India Speed Special! We are most grateful to you for appreciating that it is necessary for us to widen the tread. This is more than ever necessary, of course, now, owing to the fact that the weight of the rear axle of the Bentley has been increased. Again, many thanks. Yours sincerely, Rothes. P.S. I am communicating with the factory, and will advise you the exact date the change-over is to be made. | ||
