Discol gives a drop of .020" in petrol level. Therefore if the level is set correctly for Ethyl it does not need to be altered for Discol. According to information received from F.Dodd the road performance of both fuels is identical provided the carburetters are set for slow running in each case. On the test bed, however, Discol is approximately 3% worse for power than Ethyl through weak mixture when using the standard carburetter needles.
