WST X6016. PH.1/WT17.10.32. S/W... from PH. to... Mr... hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. GML-28. Dr. Frankis Evans. In reply to your Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/WW/16/KW11.10.32. addressed to G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} it should be noted that in connection with the proposition to fit four 25 H.P. cars with the three-charge scheme before it is standardised for production, we intended to use three of our own trials cars which would be immediately under our own eyes, and we chose Dr. Evans as an owner who uses his car a great deal day and night, and is an enthusiastic motorist, as the fourth. In this way we should be getting the experience of the ordinary owner who had not special expert knowledge which might tend to cover up weak places in the scheme. Dr. Evans of course was informed exactly about the position and that the proposition was an experimental modification, but since we saw Dr. Evans we have decided that perhaps all four sets of switchboxes etc, might better be kept in our own hands, and it is therefore proposed to fit the fourth set to GML-76 which has been alloted to Paris for demonstration purposes.
