"STORK" PNEUMATIC BRAKES. X 3874 We send herewith N.sch. 1330 shewing a preliminary arrangement of the operating gear of the brakes on the above car. This arrangement is sent for your present information, and is substantially correct, but it is not complete in every detail, and we may require to make slight modifications as we proceed with the detailed components. It will be noticed that the operating rods to the front brakes pass very close to several components and some work has to be done on each of them. We have sent you the modified exhaust system on another drawing. It will be noticed that modifications are needed to the oil pump, and we think you might carry these out. We have assumed a new R-R dynamo. It will be noticed that a new engine foot will be required but this is asked for in any case on the other off side to suit the new position of steering box. We are sending you today the arrangement of the brake cylinders and the indicator cylinders, and we shall shortly send you a new arrangement of pedals, the arrangement of the multiplying lever on the engine foot, and of the throttle trip-ping diaphragm, and air reservoir, which we believe will complete the new brake components. We shall be much obliged if you would take what prints you require and return us the original, together with a print, as soon as possible. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
