Excessive Oil Consumption & overoiling on the Bentley.

Referring to the Quarterly Complaint list just issued, reference md.4/HR.27.8.36.

We note that there are 28 cases of excessive oil consumption reported for the June quarter. A comment is also made referring to these complaints, saying that they require investigation to improve the consumption.

When we got the March Quarterly Complaint list we pointed out that we had not got sufficient information to get a clear idea of what these complaints were due to (reference Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/KW.5.6.36), and asked for further details of all complaints to help in our investigation. Since then we have received nothing except the information that 28 more cases have occurred.

If in the opinion of the Repair Dept. this matter requires investigation, we suggest that it is worth using the machinery fromwhich the Quarterly Complaint list is compiled to analyse these cases of high oil consumption, and pass the information on to us. Until we get such figures we can do nothing.
