Dear Sirs,

We are interested in your letter of March 21st. re time lag damping.

With regard to drawing No.0/700 the underlying idea appears to be most excellent, and we should like to have the opportunity of examining an assembly. Perhaps you could arrange to bring one up, say Thursday or Friday next week, about 2 p.m.

We wonder whether the dashpot orifice 10 is liable to get blocked up by small particles of dirt. Supposing that it got blocked at the beginning of the pressure stroke no build up in damping could occur, and on the return stroke there would be no pressure in the reservoir tending to displace it.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
