1379 SECRET. W/S. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BENTLEY PUBLICITY. We do not want to take over the Technical Journalist's job if it can be avoided. Before, therefore, we spend a lot of time writing up our Engineering Dept., we propose to contact Geoffrey Smith, and find out whether he would like us to supply the necessary information, and let one of his staff do the writing. We presume out of the three articles suggested, we could let "The Autocar" if they would take them, and "The Motor" one. We take it you agree that "The Autocar" and "The Motor" are the only two semi-technical papers which have appreciable publicity value. We cannot belive that the desired result would be obtained by catering for "The Automobile Engineer" as it is not read by the Purchasing Public. We anticipate that you can only hope to interest the Daily Press in the road or track tests project. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
