AHL X6051 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} C. to BY C. to HY{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} ROY{Sir Henry Royce}3/MG6.5.31 The Watford people have developed a Magnetic type Speedometer, with temperature compensating device, and are now supplying same in bulk to Leyland Motors. They have sent us a sample instrument, which is handed to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} herewith, as indicative of what they can offer. They would, of course, gladly make any alteration in the dials, bezels etc. to meet our requirements. The instrument itself, including 6 ft. of flex, handed you herewith, costs about half the charge for the A.T.Speedometer. To make same conform with our other panel instruments, it would of course be necessary to fit Cambridge Type dial, etc. etc. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} ENCLOSURE. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Speedometer and flex.
