W/Paris. X9/120 To Sr. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KT.14.6.33. With reference to Sr/Crn.7/MLG.13.6.33. the 40/50 continental and the 40/50 long type chassis are now identical, as we put an improvement on the continental chassis, as soon as it becomes established it automatically follows on the other car. We hope in the next few months to give the continental a further "leg-up". The final edition of the Bentley should be in France at the end of the month. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is coming over with it when you will doubtless have some fun with him. We have an open-car running, but we are very disappointed with its maximum speed which is no better than the closed car. However we are doing a lot of tests to find out how to reduce wind resistance. It would be worth while your finding out from French coachbuilders all they know about bodies for fast cars, and we would much appreciate any information you could give us. Kind regards to yourself and Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
