Single Plate 12-CB Clutch as supplied Lincoln.

1. Max. torque motor which may be used with clutch in Pass. car service - 325 lbs. ft.
2. Weight of clutch complete - 42-1/2 #. Driven Member 7-1/2 #, coverplate 35 #.
3. Spring load total to transmit above torque - 1650 #
4. Recommended plate separation .075" - Actually .060 will give release.
5. Moment of inertia of driven member assembly 97 lbs. inches. This information not available on coverplate assembly.
6. Clutch finger ratio 5.5:1.
7. Clutch pedal ratio 12:1 recommended.
8. With 4-3/4" available pedal stroke, if 1" is allowed for lash or wear travel and the pedal ratio is 12:1 making a total reduction of 66:1, pedal pressure will be approximately 28 # neglecting friction.
9. Minimum pedal travel of 4" effective stroke with 12:1 pedal ratio will give release. The pedal should have at least a 6" stroke so 1" or more can be allowed for lash, leaving at least 5" for release, 1" in excess of actual requirements to safeguard against variations in manufacture.
10. No adjustments for wear necessary on clutch itself. Pedal should be adjustable so as linings wear and initial lash in pedal reduces, this can be corrected.
11. Friction adjustment on spring damped center permits changing damping effectiveness to suit conditions.
