Mr. Minchin, Messrs. Peto & Radford, 50, Grosvenor Gardens, London, S.W.1. 28th October, 1929. -2- per mile. We must look further into the reasons for the discrepancy. We will alter the instrument to read correctly in itself when hot (about 25°C.) which means that the speed indication will be a little high when hot, by approximately the 1.85%, but depending on the tyres, and a little more high when cold. I will let you have a further line about this, when I despatch the instrument on Wednesday. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
