EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} c. ROY. {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} c. CWB. X4308 BY3/G.15.3.28. A.T. SPEEDOMETER. Referring to EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 13/H.14.3.28. the matters raised therein are having attention at the moment as explained in ROY {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} /GEA6/EB.6.3.28. The A.T. Speedometer Co. have had some difficulty in applying the compensating device to the 20 HP. satisfactorily, but they have the matter in hand, and hope to let us have a correct instrument for our Experimental Department to try out in the near future. In regard to the 40/50 HP, EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 's last memo shows that this is satisfactory. The Order Office have I understand put the matter up to the A.T. Co. to ensure that the instruments read right at from 27 to 30°C, and high for any temperatures lower than this. It would appear desirable in view of the above facts to hold up the changeover from the larger instrument for the 40/50 HP. to the small one until the A.T. people can compensate the latter as they have succeeded in doing on the former.
