P.2. SUBFRAME REAR SUPPORT BRACKET.

As you are aware the subframe rear support brackets on FN's and SA's cars have failed. We understand that you have had FN's car in Derby, and we think that you would like to send us a report on this failure with a sketch of the broken bracket ( or the bracket itself).

You might be able to throw some light on the following points:-

(1) A good many P.2. cars have been 10,000 miles in France, and this trouble has not manifested itself.

(2) 20-EX. was used on the "jellying rig" for a long while. Did the subframe brackets give way?

(3) Have you seen SA's car, and ought it not to be investigated, as while FN's car has admittedly been used under abnormally severe conditions, SA's car has been used in Spain and France where the roads are relatively good.

While we do not wish to become panic stricken by these failures we do wish to get to the bottom of the mystery, and so learn something from them.

If we wish to develop overseas trade it is essential that such items should receive our attention with a view to design modifications.
