G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} C. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} V7430 BY6/G.16.7.28. PHANTOM G.2B SERIES - STEERING. Referring to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M12.7.28. and R2/M13.7.28. we do not understand why DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} has raised this matter. After receiving the information that R.{Sir Henry Royce} proposed to cut out 'B' type steering a month ago we deleted 'B' type from our instructions when ordering material for G.2B Series. We wrote Sales telling them the position, and they replied on the 12/6/28. that they were anxious to exterminate the 'B' type column entirely. In view of the facts of the case therefore, we are entirely at a loss to understand why DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} should say in his last paragraph "This matter is urgent as Derby are producing dash castings/etc. for 'B' type", as no patterns are being produced for 'B' type nor has any material been ordered.
